Sell Your Motorcycle - Hollywood Fl
CONSIGN MY RIDE
WHY CONSIDER CONSIGNMENT?
1) Avoid the confusion of whether true value is being clearly disclosed to you for your trade.
e.g., there's no hiding or fudging numbers when a clear minimum sale price is agreed upon up front.
2) Avoid the frustrating phone calls and emails from perspective buyers who may or may not even qualify to buy your bike.
3) Completely eliminate those annoying TIRE KICKERS who inundate you with calls and emails that you have simply have to filter through to find that one serious buyer.
4) Protect yourself from strangers coming to your door, possibly posing as prospective buyers.
5) Sell your bike without those unwelcome repercussions from a private sale, such as visits / contacts from the buyer when selling a bike privately, particularly when the new buyer knows where you live and/or work.
6) Ask a higher price for your vehicle!
WHY SHOULD I CONSIGN MY BIKE INSTEAD OF SIMPLY TRADING IT IN?
Typically when trading a bike in, the dealer is going to give you low wholesale value for your bike, regardless of the thousands of dollars of value adding options you may have added to it through ownership. While allowing BIG TWIN USA to showcase your bike to thousands of prospective bike buyers you may get top dollar and often times, retail value for it which may be thousands of dollars more than you're likely to receive when trading it in. All of this, without any effort or stress put on you during the process.
**** CAUTION **** Title Skipping ( SEE HOW PEOPLE GET SCAMMED!!!)
Just because it looks simple to sell a bike doesn't necessarily mean it is! Take a minute and read the scam below that a predator may typically use to steal from you.
For instance, you advertise a bike online. A thief looks at it, contacts you and you both agree on a reasonable price to sell it. As the seller, you probably assume that the cash or check you're receiving is legitimate.
Often times ... And more often than you think, the cashier's check is a fake!!! If the sale price is good (which it almost always is when being scammed) the seller almost always hands the signed title over to the new buyer.
THAT'S THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO!!! Considering the fact that the scammer is now driving / riding off with your bike and a clear title in their hand which they never intend to pay you for!
In addition to that, the bike is still registered to you therefore technically you still own the motor-vehicle as far as your state is concerned and you're responsible to any violations such as tolls, accidents, traffic infractions, etc. GOD FORBID!
The mind and conscience of the scammer doesn't work the way yours does and if he/she decided to roll back the miles on your bike in an effort to sell it for even more than it should legitimately sell for, you just sold a fraudulent motor vehicle to a totally innocent buyer.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SELL A CONSIGNED BIKE?
It really depends on the type of bike and various market conditions. The good news is that we may be able to sell your bike within 30 days! Certain high-line, old age units, modified and/or specialty bikes may take longer. If the bike doesn't happen to sell in a reasonable amount of time, we can always relist the unit through our network of biker communities, relationships and/or auction houses and set a reserve on the price that satisfies you.
DOES THE BIKE NEED TO BE AT YOUR DEALERSHIP TO SELL IT?
Absolutely Not!!! Bike sales are done all the time, sight unseen through a series of pictures shared electronically, although a bike inspection and/or vin inspection may be required to help vet the bike and/or assess reasonable, responsible value, offering protection to both, the seller and the buyer.
WHAT IF I STILL OWE MONEY ON THE BIKE?
When the bike sells, we'll help you facilitate the payoff and the paperwork necessary to transfer ownership to help the lien to get released.
CAN I SELL A BIKE THAT I'VE LEASED?
Yes, of course you can. We'll need a "WRITTEN, NET PAYOFF" from your leasing company..
HOW DO WE KNOW WHAT TO LIST THE BIKE FOR?
Arriving at a reasonable, fair and equitable price for your bike is not really difficult. We take NADA values into consideration, we
also consider Blue Book values when taking into consideration what your prospective buyer may have to contend with when trying to secure financing on their new purchase/lease.
HOW DO WE GET PAID?
Once the bike has sold and the funds have cleared both the bank(s) and the tax office, we will send you a check minus all expenses on the bike such as advertising, detailing if it's on our property, etc.
